laundry day

my laundry day used to be monday. in the last 6 months it has gradually been pushed back one day at time, due to my laziness. and if it wasn't for ben, our clean clothes would never make it back into our closets and drawers. ya, see those shirts hanging on the back of the chair? who knows how long they have been there. so right now friday is my laundry day. but i didn't finish the laundry today. hmmmmm. i guess saturday is my new laundry day.

oh, this is so my laundry dilemma! it used to be tuesday. then wednesday. then thursday. the laundry isn't done this week. hmmm...we can make it until next week, right? some clothes get so lonely...might as well wear them all.

If I could have one tiny fairy visit my house once a week, I would definitely put her to work doing laundry! AHH...wouldn't that be dreamy?

We share our machines with our landlords and I only get access to them on Tues/Thurs/Sat... and if I did't do 3-4 loads each of those days, we would literally drown in filth, and be completely naked within a week.

On the other hand... most of the stuff never does make it back to the closets & drawers. My kids only have enough clothes to last 4-5 days anyway, so we often just pull clean clothes out of the piles and they mostly disappear before the next laundry day. :)

It's the never ending chore! We just signed up for a time of use meter with our electric company, so I try to use that as my excuse :) Uh sorry honey, I can only do laundry after 9 pm and on the weekends! Although I do find that I get a lot of laundry done on the weekends now that it's cheaper! And my basket of whites never gets folded, it just remains in basket in the closet :) That would be way to much work to fold those every week!

Out of every chore I hate laundry the most. Several months ago I announced that Wednesday was my laundry day. Tom's comment was, "we'll see how long that lasts." Sad but true, it didn't last very long. Maybe a week?! Now that we don't have a washing machine (it died about 2 months ago), I actually do have a laundry day - It's $1.25 discount Tuesday at the laundromat! It's kinda nice to get everything clean at once but I still haven't figured out the folding and putting away problem...

I threw out Laundry days a long time ago. Kadi thinks I am crazy. I just do the laundry when the laudry basket can handle no more. Or connor tells me he has no mor garmets!

We will have piles of clean clothes leaning against the dresser for days and days. Basically until the next laundry day. It's not pretty!

I am so with you on this one! And with each additional child comes an added load of laundry. We're up to five or six a week, so getting all those done in one day has become an almost insurmountable task.

Way to go, Ben, for putting everything away, too! That's my LEAST favorite part of the whole process.

My laundry day is supposed to be Monday too and it keeps moving days. I don't hate doing laundry, I just hate how much TIME it takes. Blah. At least you are at Friday, pretty soon it will be back to Monday, right? ;)
